Right now everybody is thinking about their New Year’s resolutions. 

A New Year’s resolution is just a goal or set of goals that you set at the beginning of the new year. If setting resolutions doesn't work, can you make your goals work?  

Cliff says to follow this 4-step plan to achieve your goals:

  1. Believe it’s possible.
  2. Write it down.
  3. Tells others about it.
  4. Work the plan as it become available to you.

Do you have a belief system problem?  A belief is a thought that we feel certain is true.

Want, need or should -will get you in a place where you will set a goal and see a result from it, but not long term. 

Cliff teaches the T-E-A-R formula. 

T- Thoughts 

E- Emotions

A- Actions

R- Result

You can change your beliefs, even if you have believed something is true from childhood.

Never give up on your goals.

In 1996, for the first and only time in my entire life – I was fired from a job. I had been recruited by Citadel Broadcasting to move to Salt Lake City and do the morning show. I moved my little family from Knoxville TN to Utah. We fell in love with Utah and her people.  And then, three months after I started, I was fired. What can I learn from this?

How can I use this?

Think about the things in your life that you consider problems.  What if these thing could actually be used to propel you forward in life and business? What if you could use the things that seem to be working against you and make them work for you instead?

  • Is the way you are setting your goals keeping you from reaching them?
  • Is your attitude standing in the way of you being able to overcome your problems? 
  • Be intentional about your goals. It is worth the effort to get the result. 
  • Are you in the Matrix? Will you choose the blue pill or the red pill. Wake up to reality or stay in the illusion?
  • Are you doing the same thing every day over and over again. Do you need to break this cycle?
  • I signed up for Michael Hyatt’s Best Year Ever Program and this program was different, and it helped me make some decisions to change my life. 
  • After starting it, I made 1 million dollars in my business, lost 67 pounds, paid off our debt. It woke me up and forced me to complete the past.
  • Looking back at your past gives you the ability to learn, be aware and analyze what has happened and what I will do differently in the future.
